I grew up in Bloomington, MN, home to the Mall of America, with my parents and three brothers. After my senior year of high school, I joined the US Navy.

While serving in the Navy for five years, I was stationed on both coasts and was forward deployed to Atsugi, Japan for two years.

After the Navy, I attended the University of Minnesota before moving to Sherwood, OR and finishing my degree in economics from Portland State University. I was a stay at home parent for the next 10 years before becoming a cabinet maker and financial planning specialist.

Interests/Hobbies

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles and have competed in the Annual Sherwood Puzzle Competition all eight years!

I enjoy the outdoors, including biking, hiking, camping and sailing. Traveling the world is another passion of mine – top destinations would be Thailand, Kenya, Fiji and the Maldives. I am a fan of Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R. and Bastille, and has been known to play the guitar, drums and piano.
