Continuing Support
My family and I have lived in Sherwood for over 10 years and continue to enjoy the people, places and things to do here. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I proudly served my country and now, with your help, I have the opportunity to continue my public service for the great people of Sherwood.
Looking forward
I have been a stay at home parent for the past 10 years and have served on various school boards for the past 5 years. With my children being older now and attending school full time, I have the time and energy to take my volunteering for the city to the next level – City Councilor.
Our current city council recently passed a comprehensive plan for our city, Moving Forward Together, Sherwood 2040. This plan, while keeping Sherwood, Sherwood, “helps manage expected population and employment growth through a set of goals” over the next 20 years.
While serving in the US Navy, I had the opportunity to work with Americans from all over the US and the best skill I learned during those years, was how to set differences aside for completing the mission at hand. Sherwood 2040 is our goal and as a member of the city council, I want to ensure our growth is both inclusive and equitable to as many residents as possible.
Key points for me from the Sherwood 2040 plan:
Healthy and Valued Ecosystem
• Develop a Climate Action Plan to ensure clean air and water for Sherwood.
Attractive and Attainable Housing
• Housing for a diversity of ages and income levels.
Thriving and Diversified Economy
• Stable employment opportunities, attracting new employment and reinvigorating local economy.
